Belle of Louisville Riverboats offers private charters of both the Belle and the Mary– including assistance with event details, such as planning food and entertainment. We also offer group bookings on public cruises.
Groups of 15+ guests
If you are organizing a group visit with 15 or more guests (such as summer programs, motor coach tours, college groups, etc.), your group will receive a discount. To insure you receive the group price, please contact our Group Sales team using the form below to book and receive your discounted ticket price.
Charter and Reserved Seating Options
Belle of Louisville Riverboats offers two options: a boat charter or reserved seating. A boat charter offers your group exclusive use of the boat with optional catering & entertainment, whereas reserved seating is on a public cruise with pre-determined entertainment and (if applicable) catering.
No matter which option you pick, our team will help plan the journey, menu and special touches to make your event a unique and unforgettable experience. Birthdays, graduation parties, reunions, business functions, you name it! The Belle of Louisville and Mary M. Miller can accommodate you and your guests in exclusive surroundings with beautiful views of the city and a riverboat experience like none other.

Chartering the Boat
The Belle of Louisville has a total capacity of 600 people and has an enclosed Ballroom Deck that can accommodate 230 guests in buffet-style seating. A charter on the Mary M. Miller can accommodate up to 350 guests.
Both vessels are climate-controlled on at least one deck, with the Belle of Louisville available April through October and the Mary M. Miller available for charter year-round. Dockside event options are also available.
Reserving a Private Area
In lieu of chartering an entire boat for your party, you can book a reserved area for your group on select public cruises.
A reserved area on the Texas Deck (top deck, open and covered) on the Belle of Louisville can accommodate up to 70 people. A reserved area on the Mary M. Miller can accommodate approximately 100 people. Contact the Group Sales office at 502-574-4125 for availability and pricing. Your reserved area will include tables & chairs for your group.
Frequently Asked Questions
If a cruise date your group wants is not available, we can create a new public cruise date with a guaranteed minimum number of guests. For more information on the number of required guests, please contact our Group Sales Office at 502-574-4125. Alternatively, your group can charter the boat, which would provide a private river cruise experience for your group.
A non-refundable deposit of a third of the charter rate is due within one week of booking to hold your date. You will then be provided with a payment plan. Proof of insurance and all signed contracts and agreements must be completed one month prior to your charter.
Our Food & Beverage team can help coordinate your catering or you can arrange it yourself with any licensed caterer.
We are happy to arrange entertainment for you—from DJs to Bluegrass and disco. Alternatively, you can bring your own and we will provide expert sound hook-up assistance.
