Essential Functions
Ahoy! Join our crew this season as a Guest Services Associate. This seasonal position is perfect for those looking to gain experience in the hospitality and tourism industries, all while supporting our two National Historic Landmarks—the Belle of Louisville and Life Saving Station #10—as well as our third vessel, Mary M. Miller. As a member of the Guest Services Team, you will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, such as booking cruise reservations, selling souvenirs and much more. No experience? No worries! Training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Process cruise reservations, souvenir and membership sales and provide information to guests about cruise bookings, costs and dates of availability and resolve problems.
- Answer multi-line phones regarding cruise reservations, booking questions and more.
- Create flower and balloon bouquets and deliver them to boats ahead of cruises.
- Assemble boarding materials for guests ahead of cruises.
- Scan tickets and distribute boarding materials to guests during cruise boarding.
- Receive merchandise, mark or tag prices on merchandise and stock display cases.
- Operate and verify cash drawer, including balancing contents at beginning and end of each shift, totaling prices and receiving payments, etc.
- Perform related work and other duties as assigned.
Examples of Work
- Accesses the reservations system and provides information to callers concerning cruise bookings, costs and dates of availability, and resolves questions.
- Verifies cash drawer upon reporting to work. Reconciles balance at end of shift with shift manager using receipts and provided reports.
- Works within reservation system to identify and sell souvenir items.
- Greets visitors/vendors, provides sign in sheet and temporary badge. Retrieves badge when visitor leaves vessel.
- Assists with distribution of tickets and wristbands to groups as needed.
- Performs related work and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must have excellent customer relation skills.
Pay & Benefits
- Starting pay beginning at $16/hour
